Robert Cart (flute) and Andrea Feitl (piano) will perform Six States of the Dreaming Mind: A Dalí Sound Sequence. at the Salvador Dalí Museum in St Petersburg, FL. Rather than a conventional recital format, concert frames the pieces as six states of a dreaming mind, moving from emergence and awakening through construction, distortion, suspension of time, and finally dissolution. Each work functions as a psychological condition rather than a standalone concert item, which I think may resonate particularly well with the Dalí Museum’s immersive approach to experience and perception.
