Robert Cart (flute) and TBD (piano) will perform Music and Exile: Reconstructing Displaced Voices, a concert that brings together works by composers whose lives and artistic paths were profoundly shaped by displacement in the twentieth century. Presented at the Austrian National Library in Vienna, this program traces a rich musical landscape—from intimate sonatas and sketches by Walter Benedict, Richard Stöhr, Hugo Kauder, and Robert Fürstenthal to Aaron Copland’s luminous Duo for flute and piano—recovering voices of resilience, memory, and renewal.
