
regina dimedio-marrazza
Regina Di Medio Marrazza, has had a multi-faceted career as a collaborative pianist/accompanist, teacher, outreach and community arts administrator. Besides her duo-piano team with her sister, pianist, Annette DiMedio, she has accompanied members of the Philadelphia Orchestra in recital, and was pianist for the PBS special with the Placido Domingo workshop. With Dr. Cart, she has performed in recital at Carnegie Hall, and throughout the Philadelphia area. She is passionate about building music programs that empower students. She was Director of Levine School/MD for 17 years, and Founding Director of Rowan Prep, (New Jersey) both community music schools, Executive Director of Young Artists of America at Strathmore (YAA). She presently is Coordinator of the ACES “Arts & Culture” and “Ambassador” program at Montgomery College. Ms. Di Medio Marrazza received her B.M. in piano from the Philadelphia College of the Performing Arts and her M.M. in Chamber Music and Accompanying from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.
robert cart
Robert Cart has toured Europe, Asia, and the Americas, including performances in London, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Munich, New York, Philadelphia, Shanghai, Vienna, and Washington. He has worked with such renowned conductors as Bernstein, Leppard, Muti, Previn, and Zinman, and has performed at festivals, including Tanglewood, Wolf Trap, Ravello, and Aldeburgh. He has performed as soloist at The Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, Kimmel Center, Lincoln Center, the Whitehouse, and the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. An advocate for new music, he has premiered works by Jennifer Higdon, Gary Schocker, and others, and he can be heard on the Albany, Centaur, and Music Minus One labels.
His students occupy positions with several professional ensembles, including Orquestra Sinfônica do Teatro Municipal de São Paulo, New England Symphonic Ensemble, and the Central City Opera. They have won competitions, including the Emmanuel Pahud Masterclass Competition (OSESP), Eduardo Tagliatti Chamber Music Competition, Young Soloists Competition of the Eleazar de Carvalho Music Festival, Mid-Atlantic Flute Fair Masterclass Competition, SphinxConnect Fellowship, and have been accepted into graduate programs at Indiana University, Peabody Conservatory, Northwestern, and SUNY Stonybrook. Robert presents clinics and master classes worldwide.
Robert received his Bachelor of Music from DePauw University, Master of Music from Indiana University, and his Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Maryland College Park. His teachers have included Francis Fuge, Peter Lloyd, James Pellerite, and Gary Schocker, and master classes with Marcel Moyse and Jean-Pierre Rampal.
Robert also plays a vintage Rudall, Carte & Co. piccolo made in 1927 by Mr. Atkins for Mr. L.J. Ford of Nottingham.
